Goal setting. Those two words make me groan. I have always been horrible at goal setting. I have a hard time putting what it is that I want to achieve into words. Do any of you ever feel like that? I know I want my life to count for something. I want my legacy to be one that has affected major change in the world. Only… I haven’t really known how to put that into words. I find it challenging to put a plan in place.

But goal-setting is important. It creates a road map of the things you need to do to get where you want to go. This year I have really been more focused on setting goals for myself, this blog and my business. I am a goal-digger and I’m totally okay with that!

I have decided to make short term goals while I am learning how to set them. In my studies on how to set goals, I’ve learned a few tips that I think are really good… Write them down, set a date, be specific and have people hold you accountable. The one I really¬†like is writing them down (big surprise, huh?) and when you do, write them as if they are currently happening. For example, currently, I have five goals I want to achieve before the end of the year. I would like to share them with you to show you what I mean.

1. I am consistently writing three blogs a week.

My vision for faithandbling is growing. As the vision grows, I want the blog to grow as well. I feel like the way that I can help the blog grow is to blog consistently about a range of topics. For me, that looks like working up to 3 posts a week by December 31st, 2019. It’s daunting simply because I don’t know if I have enough interesting things to say for that many blog posts, but hey, I’ll give it a shot!

2. My Instagram following and engagement is growing by at least 25%.

Another passion of mine is Instagram. I thoroughly enjoy working with that platform. I have been able to work with so many wonderful small business owners and am blessed to be working with more and more each day. I’d love to see @faithandbling grow in exposure because it helps my clients grow as well.

3. My Younique business is paying for my car.

I really enjoy direct sales. For all the criticism it gets, I believe that it’s a great tool to help men and women achieve so much. I love Younique even more! There is something special about this company and I want to be successful part of it. My dream is to build a team of women that encourage and uplift one another as we fulfill our dreams. Once upon a time I was of the top sellers in this company and I was having so much fun! I worked hard, but it was so worth it. While I would love to get back to that position, my goal for the rest of 2018 is to rebuild my client base and earn enough money to make my car payment.

4. My Instagram Live audience is growing into the thousands.

I would like very much to see the Facebook Live audience grow as it will help my Younique business grow and help me reach more women. I love doing the Lives. I have met so many wonderful women because of them and I really want to meet more!

5. I am creating a Proverbs 31 Bible study.

Of all of my goals, this one is the most daunting and the most personal. I feel completely unqualified to do this, but it is something that I have felt I need to do for several weeks now. I am still working out the format and other logistics, but I do see it being released in 2019!!

So there you have it! My five goals for the rest of 2018. What are yours? I’d love it if you’d leave them in the comments below!
